Jamie Beaton

Jamie Beaton is a distinguished entrepreneur and education visionary, best known as the co-founder and CEO of Crimson Education. He has had an inspiring and impactful journey in education and entrepreneurship, showing his commitment to providing equal opportunities for students in global university admissions.

Born in Auckland, New Zealand, in 1995, Beaton attended King’s College Auckland for his secondary education. His academic prowess was evident early on, and in 2013, he made a remarkable achievement by being accepted into several prestigious universities, including Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, and Cambridge. He chose Harvard and completed his undergraduate degree in Applied Mathematics-Economics, graduating Magna Cum Laude in just three years.

Beaton’s professional career took a significant turn when he was hired as the youngest-ever data analyst at Tiger Management when he was only 19. His achievements continued when he was accepted into Stanford’s Graduate School of Business at age 20. There, he completed his MBA in education technology and was awarded the highly regarded Arjay Miller Award. Additionally, he was a Rhodes Scholar at the University of Oxford, where he completed a DPhil in public policy.

The idea for Crimson Education was born from Beaton’s personal experiences in applying to multiple top-tier universities and realising the need for a more structured and supportive admissions process for students worldwide. He co-founded Crimson Education with Sharndré Kushor in 2013, and under their leadership, it has grown into a global education technology company. Crimson Education is well-known for its high success rates in student admissions, helping thousands of students gain admission into prestigious universities in the US and UK.

In 2019, Beaton launched the Crimson Global Academy (CGA), an innovative online high school offering IGCSE, A-levels, and AP curricula. CGA takes a high-skill approach to online learning and has achieved remarkable success, with students attaining high average grades in their initial A-level exams.
