Crimson Education is a university admissions consultancy founded in Auckland in 2013 by Jamie Beaton, then an eighteen-year-old who had himself been accepted to 25 of the world's top universities. The company pairs students with mentors, strategists and tutors to help them gain admission to competitive institutions.

Crimson now operates across more than 20 countries and has expanded into online schooling through Crimson Global Academy. Beaton completed degrees at Harvard, Stanford and Oxford while running the company.

Why Noteworthy

Crimson is one of the few NZ-founded education companies to reach genuine global scale, built on a model that turns the founder's own experience into a replicable service. It raises questions about access and equity in education that make it worth watching as much as celebrating.
