Siân Simpson

Siân Simpson is a New Zealand entrepreneur and community builder and the founder of Public Rally, a specialist agency helping organisations in technology, AI, music, legal and education build meaningful communities at scale.

Simpson founded Public Rally in January 2020, but her reputation was built in the years before it. As Director of Community at Kiwi Landing Pad, New Zealand’s largest startup community, she spent five years growing the network from 200 to 6,000 people and hosting more than 300 events across five countries: New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom, Singapore and Canada. That work earned her the AIMES Award for IT, Innovation and Science, with ,000 towards her personal development and the Young Enterprise Trust Emerging Alumni Award in 2017.

Public Rally works with clients across the United States, Australia and New Zealand, building end-to-end community and content strategies for organisations that want to create real engagement rather than just audiences. Simpson also founded Bountifull, a wellness media startup and joined venture capital firm Atto as community director, bringing the same community-first thinking to the investment world. She has travelled to more than 60 countries, fostering relationships with entrepreneurs and studying how technology and investment intersect across different cultures.

Simpson’s profile is noteworthy because she has built a career at the intersection of technology communities and global connection, proving that community building is not a soft skill but a genuine business discipline and one that New Zealand founders can export.
