Mike Pero, born on February 26, 1960, in Christchurch, New Zealand, is well-known in the country’s business landscape. He is particularly famous for founding the country’s largest mortgage broking business. Pero started his professional journey in 1991, establishing Mike Pero Mortgages. This venture became a highly recognised and trusted brand in the mortgage industry. In 2011, he diversified his business by starting a real estate company under the same brand name, showcasing his versatility and business acumen.

Pero’s business ventures have been highly successful and influential. The Westpac Franchise of the Year went to Mike Pero Mortgages in 2003. In 2014, Mike Pero Real Estate achieved significant growth, ranking 23rd in the Deloitte Fast 50, showcasing a remarkable 327.8% growth and placing it 6th in its category. The brand’s high recognition and trust among New Zealanders is a testament to Pero’s dedication and skill in building and managing successful business ventures.

Apart from his business accomplishments, Pero is also a notable figure in motorsports. He was a six-time National Motorcycle Road Racing Champion from 1977 to 1982, excelling in multiple racing classes.
